Labor Day in the Catskills

i had such an incredible time leaving the city for labor day weekend and spending it with a dear friend at her parents' weekend home in the catskills. it was beyond perfect.

corn maze at the town fair!

i met llama del rey

the girls noshing on corn

i mean. how incredible is the line up? revolutionary music history right there.

emma's parents home, also known as wagging tail farms. how much cuter  can they get??

her mum is a yoga teacher so they built a gorgeous yoga studio behind the house. and to the right is the loveliest heated pool

her parent's also had some friends who live on the local lake, so their sons showed us around on the tubes. so. much. fun. i have had a fear of lakes since growing up in south florida it is an absolute NO to go into any lake. so i faced my fears and warmed up to the water. it was so refreshing.

eating raw corn off the maze...

emma's dad has found so many degraded animal skulls through out his 150 acres of land. he collects what he finds naturally. it's beautiful.

just some of their property.

her front porch, creaking at dusk

their vegetable garden is to die for. i could have spent weeks learning about harvesting fruit and vegetables. it is something i truly am going to do on my own when i have my own place and a patch of green.

the old tree farm

bogart, being handsome and leading the way

boggie and fred

finding salamanders in the mud

it was so simplistic and unreal. it is my ultimate life goal to live back into nature and simplicity like this, one day.
