today is my first day off in a while. i'm reflecting on this past week which includes thoughts on a few mistakes, a few triumphs, a few laughs, and a good cry or two. such is life.

it's dreary today in new york and that means it's a perfect day for strumming my guitar, lighting my favorite angel food cake candle (comes in a mason jar for $1.29 at my bodega across the street. a pencil costs more than that), and enjoying my time alone today.

i had a great time at the standard hotel last night on the rooftop at le bain  with my coworkers/ good friends. i am lucky to have worked with such a tight knit crew the last year and a half.
