Mad Girl's Love Song

Played some dress up today here in the Dirty South.

Leather and fur are extremely out of place where I'm from. All the more reason why I'm drawn to it.

How do you like my swag face?

Wearing an Old Navy sweater ($5!), Zara trousers, Rag & Bone boots, PS1 bag, LF leather jacket.

Ventured into my favorite hole-in-the-wall secondhand bookstore today known as The Book Worm. Went in, as I always do, feeling a bit discouraged as the walls (from floor to ceiling) are lined with thousands of books. So, I went in with the list of desired authors typed in my phone and began the hunt/ dig/ crawl/ search.

I walked out with some fine, nifty classics. Catcher in the Rye, A Clockwork Orange, The Sound and the Fury, some wonderful sonnets (a-la Shakespeare), and some tales of Canterbury, via Mr. Chaucer. OH! And my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE find of all time.... (drum roll)....

T.S. Eliot's "children's" (psssh) book titled, Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. So great. Wonderful illustrations and syntax, a truly lovely find. As an English/ Lit major, and lover of the written word, today was a pretty golden day. A golden day, indeed.
